The Baird Center, formerly known as the Wisconsin Center, is nestled in the heart of our vibrant city and has been a symbol of culture, art, and community for decades. In a momentous stride towards enhancing its significance, a remarkable $456 million expansion project was initiated.
This expansion boasts modern architectural wonders, state-of-the-art facilities, and an infusion of culture.
The Baird Center Expansion features a modern urban design with stunning art features, extensive sustainability efforts, pre-function lounge areas, and many versatile event spaces. It is evident that this design was created with the intention of building community and long-lasting connections with the varying social spaces. In addition, the design team’s goal was to create a space that fosters innovation, encourages inclusivity, creates memories & experiences, and promotes sustainability.
As the Night of Splendor at the Baird Center Expansion approaches, anticipation grows. This grand event not only celebrates the Baird Center’s new chapter but also exemplifies the power of culture, art, and community coming together to create something exceptional.
In honor of the major economic benefits that this expansion will have on the community, the Baird Center has announced that all revenue from ticket sales will be donated to United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County and the United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF).
A highly regarded production team was announced as of October, including David Caruso as the experience director (Dynamic Events by David Caruso), Mike Underwood as logistics manager (Underwood Events), Samantha Mitchell as event manager (Samantha Starr Events), Oscar Sanchez as event manager (Ambrosia Events), and Connie Bolle as food and beverage liaison (Levy Restaurants).
