Through my work experience, I quickly learned the best ways to communicate with team members and clients to support their goals, which helped me grow as an individual.

Today, as an executive assistant at Ambrosia Events, I find it an honor to work alongside creative and driven individuals. The team is driven to elevate Ambrosia Events as one of the premier companies in planning and designing events. Not a day goes by when I don’t learn something new. Working alongside Oscar, who is not only my boss but also a great mentor, is incredibly interesting. At Ambrosia, we go above and beyond to bring clients’ wildest dreams to life while enjoying each step of the preparation process. 

Outside of work, I love being busy! I keep myself occupied by living an active and healthy lifestyle, prioritizing family time, or running my lash extension business. The best part is that I am applying everything I am learning at Ambrosia to other areas of my life.

Hello, my name is Oscar Sanchez, founder, and owner of Ambrosia Events, with over ten years in planning and designing amazing events.
Being a business owner, I found myself fascinated with the endless concepts I could develop in designing unique events for corporate and social venues, and working with many outstanding vendors in the planning process made me highly proficient in managing very large budgets of 1.7 million.

When planning an event, I work closely with the venue to ensure my team, and I follow all the rules and regulations regardless of its size, I also have a great understanding of AV production and event technology.

Because I understand how valuable your time is to you, I can guarantee to give you my full attention when handling all your needs.

My Culinary Arts degree and working with many fine chefs give me the advantage of understanding the logistics of creating a menu that fits your event, as well as designing exquisite florals and centerpieces, unique sculptures made from ice and chocolate, and building props to create the ultimate event experience.

I am a Wisconsin native who grew up in the Fox Valley area. After high school, I moved to Milwaukee for college. While living and working on the east side, I attended the UW-Milwaukee, where I earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration.
When I think about the Greater Milwaukee area, I stay here because it offers a variety of things to do. Like many, the summer months are my favorite time of the year to truly enjoy all this area has to offer. When the warm weather arrives you will find me attending local festivals, listening and dancing to live music, and spending time with friends at restaurants with patios. During the winter, I make time to travel to warm weather destinations such as Florida, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.

My professional life has been filled with great experiences which have allowed me to become a strong leader. Over the past 10+ years I have worked in corporate management roles focusing on human resources, employee development, and operations for customer service and inside sales teams. I find joy in helping others succeed and one of the main reasons I am passionate about leadership.
Early 2021, I met Oscar through a business organization, where we quickly developed an understanding of each other’s goals and realized working together would be beneficial. With that said, for the greater part of this year, I have been supporting Ambrosia Events with human resources related projects. I also support the business with wedding planning and coordination as needed. My goal is to help Oscar grow

Ambrosia Events beyond what he has achieved. Oscar has worked hard to ensure Ambrosia has an excellent reputation. My goal is to help the company to be viewed by the community as a strong employer where employees seek to work, develop, and stay for many years.

Andrea Hutwagner

Hello! I am the sales representative for rentals at Ambrosia Events. My focus areas are providing clients with information about our rentals, connecting them with one of our design, event management, and/or planning experts, and creating an experience! What do I mean by creating an experience? For the most part, I am the first person a client interacts with at Ambrosia Events, and I work to ensure the customer feels welcomed and heard when creating their dream event!  

My background in performing for ethnic dance groups since age 5 and environmental science has made me a very outgoing and thorough individual. You can be assured that all details of your event will be captured and executed flawlessly! 

When I am not working, I like to spend my time traveling with my husband, practicing and performing with my ethnic dance groups, and training our family pet dog, River, who is a great listener; sometimes she gives us lots of sass, and is a 10/10 good girl!

Hi! I’m Olivia Smidel, and my journey into the world of event planning and design began with a fervent passion for bringing visions to life. It all started with my junior prom, where I poured countless hours into hand-painting a cobblestone walkway, transforming our high school gymnasium into an enchanted forest. Following my graduation, I embarked on a path of higher education at St. Norbert College, immersing myself in Communication & Media Studies with a keen focus on interpersonal dynamics. Merging my creative instincts with the knowledge gleaned from my degree, I set out to turn my lifelong passion into a fulfilling career in event planning. 

At the heart of my work lies a profound dedication to elevating the client experience. I believe that open communication and genuine collaboration are key to bringing visions to life, and I listen intently to the desires and preferences of my clients. Drawing inspiration from the latest trends while infusing elements that speak to their individuality, my design style is characterized by its whimsical and contemporary aesthetic, punctuated by personal touches. From modern minimalist affairs to whimsical eclectic soirées, I pride myself on creating immersive environments that not only dazzle the senses but capture the hearts of all who attend. 

When I am not working, I spend my time creating! I enjoy anything that stimulates my creative side, including painting, cooking delicious meals, and crocheting sweaters. On my off days, I love to relax with my two cats, Daisy and Dexter.

Angie Serna

Floral and Event designer

Hi! I am your Ambrosia Events Floral Designer. I have been working with flowers since my first job as a teenager at a local grocer, helping the floral department on all the holidays. Having always been fascinated with art, nature (wildflowers, colorful sunsets), decorating, and painting, landing that fun job opened a new world of possibilities. 

With that, my interest and passion for flowers blossomed, leading me on a career path for the next 15 years in multiple roles in the retail floral world. I have Floral designed, managed, coordinated and trained other floral designers, and I love helping others learn all things floral! 

When I’m not working, I like exploring all the beautiful state of Wisconsin offers, from new restaurants and bars to festivals and state parks. My friends and family are very important to me, and I love seeing them as much as possible. Some of my favorite ways to connect with family are brunch, visiting antique stores or plant shops, and having a chai latte in my hand. 

Preserving flowers has become a hobby of mine, and I love to create all types of fun and cute functional flower art.  My husband and I enjoy traveling when we can, but we also love downtime at home with a good, binge-worthy show and our cat, Harley. 

When it comes to choosing flowers for your special event, you can count on me to walk you through and guide you through selecting the best quality and most unique stems, floral pieces, and arrangements—all while having fun doing it! Nothing is more gratifying to me than transforming a space from just an inspirational picture, watching your vision unfold, and coming to life with fresh flowers.

Hi! my name is Cristian,

I was born and raised in Beautiful Managua Nicaragua, and have traveled to many different parts of the country.

I enjoyed playing football and basketball. I’m a family man with two adorable children who are very well-behaved. When I’m away from home, I’m working as the warehouse manager for Ambrosia Events. Being a warehouse manager I am constantly making quick decisions about how to manage all the inventory coming in and going out making sure is clean and well maintained. When I’m not working I like reading about the history of the many places I’ve traveled to and lived. 

Our Wedding Management services, also known as the Day of Coordination, will ensure everything runs smoothly on your big day. From setting up table numbers and signage, to managing your vendors and venue. Ambrosia Events handles all the details so you can relax and enjoy your special day.
